Hidera International is a non-profit organization providing education, sanitation, and clean water to developing nations around the world. With nearly 3 billion people suffering from poor sanitation and access to clean water each year, It was easy to see this incredible need. Illnesses such as E. coli, typhoid, and Giardia devastate communities every day, most of these are caused from dirty water and improper sanitation. With the help and support of others we are confident that we can bring awareness and solutions to our worlds water crisis. History has shown that a water source alone will last only a brief time without continued maintenance. Filtration alone brings little change without proper education, While education alone brings knowledge but no tools to utilize. HiDera combines all three, creating a long lasting and noticeable change.
With all of the chaos and confusion in today's world most forget what is truly going on around us. Starting in 2009 after traveling to Southeast Asia, the founders of Hidera experienced just this. Coming from a country where the water is clean and food is readily available, it truly was eye opening when finding most of our world was not this way. When traveling to many of the developing nations one quickly discovers that the water/sanitation is not anything like most are used to. Commonly one small body of water is used for cleaning clothes, taking baths, drinking, and food preparation, As you can imagine this is not the ideal situation for ones well-being. Also while in these aspiring nations you will notice many "water sanitation" facility's... needless to say, the need is great. After seeing, it was time for research, after research, it was once again a humbling experience. Just imagine 3-billion men, women, and children do not have a reliable source of water and sanitation each year, that is 10X the population of the United States that suffers every day, not including the nearly 4 million of these people that die from ill sanitation and water. This is where the idea of HiDera International began, to develop products and instill lasting education that would effectively change these astounding numbers for good.

HiDera is a unique organization in that we do not only supply water development, filtration systems, or just education, we supply all three. We believe it takes all three to develop lasting change in communities. We can give a man a filter which is great, but if we walk away how is he going to understand how to use it? We can give a woman and child a water source which is a blessing, but if we walk away and never revisit for repairs and replacements how long will it last? If we just give a community education it teaches them proper sanitation, which is much needed, but what about clean water? What if we provided all three? What if we provided clean water, a community filtration system, and gave them the education they needed that gives them lasting health and Knowledge to teach others for generations to come? This is the HiDera Difference, To provide all three creating a lasting and noticeable difference.
HiDera believes in transparency and involvement. What would be better than if you saw a need, involved yourself, and watched as changes occurred? This is the idea behind fresh project. Every month a HiDera will find a village in need of sanitation, water development and education. Once a village is found we will post the new "Fresh Project" here on our website, this will then allow our supporters to see the village in need, see what is required to fulfill that need and then watch the support grow as everyone gets involved. Whether someone donates $5 or $50000 it will show your support on the Fresh Project. You will be able to show your support by sharing it with friends on Facebook and Twitter. This allows everyone to get involved and most importantly everyone to see change. Fresh Project's will launch May 1, 2012, please share with all your friends and family so we can bring noticeable change to these communities in need.
